Peter Breinholt is a name most mormons, and many others, know well. His unique acoustic sound and original songwriting has placed Peter comfortably in the hearts of his fans. His longevity may be attributed to his humble passion for music and story-telling, which audiences can immediately pick up on as he performs.
Peter’s list of accolades and awards is too long to mention. However, to name a few: six albums, various guitar books, scores for films, awards for songwriting, symphony and choir appearances, sold-out shows in basically every venue he plays…the man’s a musical genius.
As a Pennsylvania native, when Peter was only 11 years old, he began writing songs. He is also a self-taught pianist and guitarist. As friends and acquaintances noticed his talents, when he was a college student in Utah, Peter finally recorded several tracks in-studio. His first album was wildly successful, and is one of the best-selling albums in the state of Utah’s history. How did he gain such a loyal following? Here’s the thing: Peter is not a self-promoting type of guy. Fans just love his music, and tell everyone about it. Most of his popularity comes solely by word-of-mouth. Truly grass-roots.
“If you haven’t heard of Peter Breinholt” the Event Magazine wrote of his success, “you’ve been out in the frigid cold. He’s the closest thing Utah has to a music phenomenon.”
Peter Breinholt & The Big Parade continues to gain momentum wherever they perform.
