ECHO
There is a new musical duo that is starting to make a name for themselves. Known as ECHO, they are a Musical Theater/Pop Vocal Duo from Riverton, Utah. Their genre of music can be described as Cinematic Classical Pop.
The group is comprised of Galo Lastra (Tenor) and Landon Maynard (Bass – Baritone). They met each other in Men’s Choir and decided to start performing music together. Since their beginning about a year ago, they have wowed the people of Riverton, Herriman, and South Jordan with their powerful harmonies and interactions with the audience. They say that one thing that they are sure about is “knowing God put together for a reason, makes what we do worthwhile. God has our backs.”
Galo is a 16-year-old junior at Riverton High School in Riverton, Utah. His favorite hobbies are cooking Italian food on occasion, writing music and arrangements, and drawing on canvases. He says that the reason he joined ECHO is because he could express his voice in a way that he never that he could, and it is something that he really wants to do.
Landon is a 16-year-old sophomore at Riverton High School. His favorite hobbies are playing video games in his spare time, finding new songs to sing, and finding bad jokes. He says, “ECHO just feels right with us as two friends doing what we love. We feel that God put us together for a reason, and it’s for sharing our music with people we love. ECHO has made us better friends and better believers.”
