Maddie Wilson

Maddie Wilson is a young, yet experienced independent artist. She is an extraordinary vocalist (Country Crossover), songwriter, performer, and an accomplished musician. According to her YouTube channel description she enjoys “adding a little of my own flair to popular music.” She further states, “I am a little quirky so my videos show some of that. Like most girls I like to get dressed up, have fun, act out a little and play to the camera.” And according to the bio on her Facebook page, “Her soulful country crossover style, and attention grabbing presence captivate both young and more mature audiences. . .. Her soaring vocals have been described as, producing a “sugar rush to the brain” and eliciting “I thought I was in heaven.”

Maddie is no stranger to the stage as she has had the privilege of sharing the stage with country stars Chris Young, Lonestar, and Danielle Bradberry. She has also shared the stage with rock sensation Imagine Dragons, and mega YouTube artist Lindsey Stirling.

Since joining YouTube on 21 November 2009, Maddie has amassed 115,480 subscribers and her videos have been viewed 11,450,719 times. She has garnered over 200,000 fans and followers online through various social media venues where she posts music, music videos and odds and ends about her personal life.

Her self-titled EP released on 28 January 2012 earned her two #1 hits on the Indie Country Charts, and she was also named #1 Worldwide Independent Artist by CMG. In 2014, she was selected as the UMA artist under 18. Her new album titled “Lightning Strikes”, produced by Brandon Metcalf and crew at Destiny Nashville, was released on 30 July 2015. As per her Facebook bio, 2015 Grammy winner for best album, Tom Coyne, mastered the album and wrote her a personal note that said “Great Album !!!” “Great Songs !!!”. All of the songs on the album were written, or co-written by Maddie. The bio on her official website reveals “Maddie titled her album ‘Lightning Strikes’ because her songs all say very bold things.” About the album, Maddie has commented, “You won’t hear a ton of sugar coating, and in life, I feel like we need to be bold more often.”

Maddie has performed live on television, XM radio, and on AM/FM radio. She has also performed hundreds of live shows both acoustically and with a full band. Her songs have been played around the globe on radio, and internet radio including iTunes, Spotify, and Pandora. Her songwriting abilities have definitely not gone unnoticed. She has licensing agreements with QVC, Bose, Priddis Music, Braven Audio, and she has been a finalist in two national songwriting competitions (Skirts, Echo).

Maddie has found that she absolutely loves to write songs. Also, she loves adding her own style to cover songs, and you may notice that she sometimes changes lyrics in them. She does this because she believes music is a gift from God. Maddie says, “I’m nowhere near perfect, but I try my best every day to use my gift the way He would want. In this day and age, it’s hard NOT to hear a song without curse words or an inappropriate meaning. Maddie, a small town girl with country roots and Christian values, uses her music, online presence, and influence for good, and she is making a positive difference.
