Thirteen-year-old Sara Arkell (a.k.a. The Piano Gal) loves to play piano, babysit, cook, bake, and read books, among other things. She is homeschooled, along with her five younger siblings. She began piano lessons at age five and has loved it ever since. She has taken first place in many competitions in Utah including the Salt Lake Piano Competition and Utah State’s Piano Festival.
In March of 2015, Sara released her Frozen- Dueling Siblings video with Jason Black, which got millions of views on different social media sites. It got worldwide attention and Sara took her first plane ride to Tokyo, Japan, where she and Jason were invited by Fuji TV to participate in a flash mob.
The Piano Gal’s name was inspired by The Piano Guys whom she got to meet in November 2015. Sara loves their music because it inspires her. One of her biggest dreams is to perform with The Piano Guys, whether it be onstage or in a music video!
Sara has had the amazing opportunity to work with many YouTube artists such as Madilyn Paige, Maddie Wilson, Anna Richey, Evie Clair, Rob Landes and Tiffany Alvord. She finished in the Top 5 of the “Next Big YouTuber” contest at CVX Live, Utah’s YouTube Convention, in August of 2015.
She also performed at the Sandy Titan Awards Ceremony in October 2015 for Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Larry Krystkowiak. She was also featured on Celestial Shine Magazine’s November 2015 Mini Mag.
Sara enjoys teaching piano lessons to two cute little girls in her neighborhood. She is also the accompanist for the Lehi Children’s Choir and her ward choir. She loves helping people out by sharing her talent!
