Dixie Mann was born on 31 May 1983, in Louisiana. She was raised by loving parents in the LDS faith. She grew up in a small town near the swamp. At age fourteen her family moved to Idaho. It was that move that gave her an extreme culture shock and prepared her for the rest of her life as she lived in several different states and countries.
Music has always been a part of her life. She has always had a love for singing, songwriting, and public performance. She’s been in multiple choirs and solo competitions receiving high marks for her skill and ability.
Dixie attended BYU and received a Bachelor’s of Science. She met her now husband, Markus Mann while attending BYU. The couple started their life together in Sydney, Australia, then moved to Markus’s native England. They began growing their family in England. After having their first two children, they moved to Utah. They now reside in Utah with their four children – Vera (9), Violet (7), Victoria (5), and Charles (3). After having her fourth and last child, Dixie began to pursue her music career once again. She raps, sings, and writes songs with producer Chance Clift. Her debut singles can be found on all digital music platforms.
She wanted to write songs that people could dance to, so her music is upbeat and her lyrical style is humorous and clever. Her music videos celebrate womanhood in a unique way as she does not discriminate talent and ability based on age or looks. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration! She has several new songs and music videos that will be released in 2019. She is one to keep your eye on as she defies all stereotypes of the Mormon housewife. She is refreshing and out of the box.
