Katherine Nelson
Raised in Southern California as one of eight children, Katherine began singing at age three. Now as a recognized award-winning musical artist, songwriter, and actress, Katherine lives with her husband and four children in Utah.
Katherine has produced three CDs, with the third, Born Brave, released in 2011. Known for her starring role as Emma in the film Emma Smith, My Story, Katherine Nelson’s gentle, yearning, melodic voice and instinctive big-screen acting are captivating audiences everywhere.
“I was never the girl with the school choir voice,” Katherine says as she describes the rich, velvety texture that sets her apart vocally from the rest. Hearing Katherine’s innately edgy, ethereal, and pointed vocals are just the first layer of artistry exposed. Piercing more fervent underpinnings of soul, her writing unleashes the heart of who she is and what she believes. (Don’t watch her video unless you are ready for a good cry.)
