Richard Noel Marx is an American adult contemporary and pop/rock singer, songwriter, musician and record producer who has sold over 30 million records. He had a stream of hit singles in the late 1980s and 1990s, including “Endless Summer Nights”, “Right Here Waiting”, “Now and Forever,” and “Hazard.”

In 1997, he collaborated with Donna Lewis on the writing of the song “At the Beginning” which was released as the first single from the soundtrack for the 20th Century Fox film Anastasia. The song was released as a CD and cassette single on 21 October 1997 on Atlantic Records and gave Marx his eighth and final number one hit single as a singer.

Josh MortensenAlmost 2 decades later, Evie Clair and Josh Mortensen have combined their talents once again, this time, to produce a pensive and beautiful rendition of the song “At the Beginning.” The song was published on Evie’s YouTube channel on 19 April 2016 and has been viewed 190 times thus far.

Josh Mortensen is a 13-year-old singer, musician, and actor from Gilbert, Arizona. In December 2014, Josh made his debut at the Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert, Arizona in a production of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic A Christmas Carol playing the part of Doug Cratchit. His brother, Jared, also had a part in the production, playing the part of Tiny Tim.

Josh enjoys playing the piano, reading, and singing with his siblings, Karli, and Jared, in the music group “Triple Forte.” The siblings started singing together when they were 4-years-old. When they were 6, they joined the East Valley Millennial Choirs & Orchestras (EVMCO) children’s choir and started taking voice lessons from Jordan Bluth. They started singing with the Inspire youth choir in 2013. He also enjoys performing volunteer community service with his siblings. He has performed on stage in The Wiz, and I, Nephi (David).

Evie ClairEvie Clair is a 12-year-old singer, songwriter, arranger, and musician who has an incredible vocal ability. The magic of her pure voice has captured the hearts of many. She is also skilled at playing the piano, a skill that she began developing at the young age of 2. By winning several talent competitions, she has gained recognition which has helped open new doors of opportunity and expand her fan base.

Evie won a singing contest to solo on the soundtrack for the LDS movie Once I Was a Beehive where she performs the song “Together.” She had the opportunity to perform the song live for the official movie premiere. Evie also has an original song called “For You” that is also featured on the movie soundtrack. Accompanied by Sara Arkell (known on YouTube as The Piano Gal), Evie also sang a 2016 LDS Mutual Theme song called “Press Forward with a Steadfastness in Christ.” She posted the following comment on her Facebook page on 11 December, “What an honor. I can’t take much credit for this voice I’ve been blessed with, but I’ll be so happy if I have some part to play in helping hearts heal and feel through this gift.”

These two young talented artists definitely have a bright future ahead of them in the music business.
