For the past several weeks, the news reports have been replete with continuous incidents of civil unrest in many parts of the nation. As a result of these upheavals, innocent lives have been lost – snuffed out like a virtual candle in the wind. Watching the newscasts, a person cannot help but feel a sense of hopelessness, helplessness, and despair. Perhaps some have even asked the pointed questions, “When will all of this finally come to an end?” and “Will our nation ever see peace and serenity again?”

Jason Lyle Black - Morning PrayerFrom his Billboard-charting album, Piano Preludes produced by Paul Cardall for Stone Angel Music, Jason Lyle Black delivers a message of peace and hope through his new music video “Morning Prayer.” The video was filmed on the beautiful Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon, in the Uinta National Forest. It features Jason seated at the piano on a beautiful lake which adds to the feeling of tranquility that a person senses while listening to this exquisite masterpiece.

In a recent Facebook post, he introduced the video by commenting, “The world around us can be a very dark place, as the past two weeks have shown. In the midst of this, I’m grateful for the solace we can find in seeing God’s hand around us.” About the video, he remarked, “There is such a special spirit to this video – I love it. Feels like therapy to me to watch it. It is very soothing.” He also stated that it is his “most beautiful video yet.”

ABC4 News Utah reported that on Thursday, 14 July 2016, at the famed French restaurant, La Caille, in Sandy, Utah, following a moment of silence for the fallen victims and injured that day in Nice, France, Jason played his song “Morning Prayer” accompanied by his violinist Gabriel. Marielle Cossairt, the Senior Events Manager at La Caille, told ABC4 Utah News:

Unfortunately, we did hear about the attack today, so our plans did change slightly. We did still want to continue the celebration in honor of those that passed and were injured in France, so we still continued the night, and we just did a moment of silence on their behalf. Jason Lyle Black has a gorgeous song he wrote that it is about prayer and it is about recovery so we just did the moment of silence before then and he went ahead and played that with his violinist Gabriel and it was just really nice.

Jason’s album Piano Preludes debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes New Age chart and No. 2 on the Billboard Top New Age Albums chart. In a 21 May 2016 interview with LDS Daily.com, speaking about the album, Jason said, “Stone Angel Music, the record label I am with, focuses on creating music that helps people have spiritual feelings. The purpose of this album is to help people feel peace, joy, and hope. The music is quiet and speaks to the soul.”

As you watch Jason’s beautiful new video and listen to the music, let it be a prayer of peace for your soul in these troubled times.
