One Clear Voice

One Clear VoiceOne Clear Voice makes it clear that they believe in Jesus Christ.  These four mormon women bring together their experience, talent, harmonization, and testimonies as they share their music with the world.  Their self-titled, debut album is packed with optimistic and inspirational songs.

The members of One Clear Voice are Tanya Barkdull, Johanne Frechette Perry, Tammy Simister Robinson, and LaRene Tinney.

Tanya Barkdull has a wealth of experience in studio work.  She started singing professionally when only twelve years of age.  She has been heard all over the world, on several TV shows, movies, and in various languages.  Tanya trained with Seth Riggs, and has been able to sing with Billy Dean, BB King, Collin Raye, Donny Osmond, and Gladys Knight.  Tanya and her husband, Gavon, have 3 children.

Johanne Frechette Perry is from Montreal, Canada, but grew up in Los Angeles, where she was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Johanne traveled with the BYU Young Ambassadors performing group and graduated with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre.  She has been featured as a soloist on various Mormon music recordings.  She portrayed Polly Matilda Merrill Coton in “Polly: A One-Woman Musical”, written by her husband, Steven Kapp Perry.  Johanne loves gardening and family history.  She and Steven have 4 children.

Tammy Simister Robinson is one of the most recognizable names in Mormon music.  She has touched many lives with her arrangements and original songs.  Tammy has earned more awards than can be named, including Inspirational Album of the Year by the Faith Centered Music Association (FCMA), and several Pearl Awards.  Her original song, “May I Serve Thee” was performed in the LDS General Women’s Meeting and printed in the Ensign magazine.  She teaches voice, and graduated in Music Education.  Tammy and her husband have two children.

LaRene Tinney has brought her musical talent to many parts of the world. She was one of BYU’s Young Ambassadors.  She has performed in-studio and on stage with many music artists, but especially enjoys working with the other One Clear Voices members.  As OVC’s triple threat, LaRene loves to dance and act, and has a long list of musical theater experience.  LaRene and her husband have four children.

The most clear aspect of OVC is that they love to share their passion for music and their collective testimony of the Savior.
