Rick Reeve grew up in a Mormon family in Atlanta, Georgia. His family was very musical, and Rick started piano lessons at age seven. When Rick was fourteen, he wanted to quit piano lessons. Frustrated with Rick’s refusal to play any piece she presented, Rick’s piano teacher finally just told him to write his own song. He continued to write music, which has put him on the radio, in movies, on TV documentaries, commercials, and online. He composes beautifully-crafted contemporary music.
Through Rick’s career, he has performed with several well-known artists, such as April Meservy, Kenneth Cope, and Peter Breinholt. Rick’s first solo album, In My Life (2001), launched him into the mormon radio scene, and he soon was asked to be involved on several compilation albums. In 2003, he wrote the film score and soundtrack for Day of Defense, a feature film. He soon collaborated with several more artists, such as Craig Miner, Ryan Shupe, and Crawford Gates.
Rick’s talents have spread into several genres, including country, R&B, contemporary pop, and religious music. He lives in Orange County, California, where he continues to gain experience while working with a variety of musicians.
