Beyond 5
Performers like Justin Bieber and boy band One Direction have been rockin’ the music scene for quite some time, but Tyler Castleton, an award-winning songwriter and music producer, and Russ Dixon, a musician who also produces music albums, believed that it was time to create a brand new sound that would captivate audiences of all ages. In 2013, the two embarked on a journey across the nation holding auditions similar to “American Idol” tryouts to select the members of the new group.
In March 2013, five talented teenage vocalists and dancers ranging in ages 15 to 18 – TJ Ryan, Zac Love, Ammon Tuimaualuga, Tanner Myler, and Patch Crowe – were chosen to become the newest boy band sensation known as Beyond 5. Shortly thereafter, the group was headed to Asia for their first International tour where they wowed audiences performing 27 awesome shows for tens of thousands fans in eight countries to include Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Their high energy dancing, positive attitude, and singing of upbeat songs had the crowds singing along with them.
The boys became a huge success performing across the globe, including the United States, Canada and nine countries throughout Asia. They also appeared on the premiere episode of ABC’s Rising Star, released 2 full length albums (the latest titled “Faithful”), and gave back to their community by delivering anti-bullying messages in more than 50 schools, volunteering at local Food Banks, nursing homes, retirement communities and children’s hospitals. The band performed their farewell concert on Saturday, 20 December 2014 at Murray High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.
