Dallin McAllister
Dallin Jeffrey McAllister is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is currently serving a two-year full-time mission for the Church in the Dallas, Texas area until December 2016. He is a native of Boise. Idaho, and a graduate of Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. His family currently resides in Irving, Texas.
He is a singer/entertainer and started singing when he was in the third grade at the age of 10. Throughout his young life, he was trained in classical vocal techniques in private lessons for six years, and he also studied Vocal Performance at Brigham Young University (BYU) – Idaho. He was in the choir every year from the third grade up. He loves jazz and the old classic love songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Michael Buble, and Jason Mraz, to name but a few.
He sings for weddings, parties, restaurants, and on the streets. He has performed on the streets of places such as Boise, Idaho, Salt Lake City, Utah, Denver, Colorado, and New York City, New York. He says, “There is nothing I love more than performing live in front of a live audience!” Listen Boise reports that “he has an amazing command of the stage and audience with his engaging personality.” He was referred to as the “New Star Launched at the Boise Music Festival” by Kevin and Brenda at 107.9 Lite FM in an article they posted on their website.
Throughout his high school career, Dallin participated in state vocal performance competitions, twice as a first tenor, and won fifth place in the contest as a sophomore, and third place as a senior. In December of his senior year, he started performing on the streets by singing Christmas carols for the holidays.
Before he left on his mission, he recorded an album of hymns called Savior of My Soul. The album is available for download on iTunes and is also available on Amazon and Spotify. All proceeds from the album go towards his mission expenses.
