As a child in Dodge City, Kansas, Kathryn Withers enjoyed spending time on her great-grandmother’s large, black, player-piano. Then, in high school, Kathryn was the only girl in “Sierra”, a band that she created with her brother, a great songwriter and guitarist. He suggested that she give songwriting a try, so she did. After high school, Kathryn began playing the piano at The Underground, a family restaurant.
At Brigham Young University, Kathryn earned a degree in Psychology. She met Trevar Withers, who she remembers as “always smiling”. After they were married, they moved back east. Kathryn took up songwriting again, and, with the help of her sister’s editing and advice and help from professional musicians, created several great songs. Greg Hansen produced her album, He Will Lead Me Home. The album is a celebration of the peace that comes from the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Kathryn lives in Ohio, with her husband and three sons.
