Christopher Escalante
Christopher Escalante is an award-winning music composer and voice actor for video games, film, and media. He and his family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is the fourth of five children in the family and was raised on music from a very young age as there were always many sources of music and creativity. An older brother, Michael, currently works for the Church and writes his own music on the side, and one older sister, Ariana, is pursuing a music and acting career in Los Angeles, California.
During his youth, he actively participated in musical productions in junior high and high school. He played the trumpet, trombone, tenor saxophone, and tuba in the concert band, orchestra, jazz band, and marching band, all while participating in the school choirs and theatrical musicals.
He has discovered his own musical path by writing music scores for video games, film, television, and other media venues. According to his bio on his official website, “As a composer, he has written original music and songs for many video games and visual novels available for the PC and on Steam such as “Seduce Me the Otome,” “Maid with Perfection,” “ACE Academy.” He has also written original music for many films, television series, commercials, web series, and audio books such as Vigil, The Next Best Bartender, and Mythica: The Necromancer.
While attending college at Utah Valley University (UVU), he became interested in writing his own music rather than just performing. After serving a musical performance mission in Nauvoo, Illinois, where he played the tuba in the Nauvoo Brass Band, he returned to UVU and studied Music Composition and Audio Production under Sam Cardon, Marden Pond, Todd Sorensen, and Nate Hofheins. He also had the opportunity to learn briefly from other renowned composers through the University such as Hans Zimmer and Kurt Bestor.
Christopher is also a graduate of Bang Zoom! Entertainment’s Advanced Voice Acting Workshop. He has worked as a voice actor in many of Nexon’s Massively Multiplayer Online video games – the Blade Master in Atlantica Online and the Legendary Hero in Dungeon Fighter Online – to name just a couple. He has also worked as a voice actor in several different roles for video games and visual novels.
He began his composing career almost ten years ago and has written music for films such as the Utah-produced Mythica series and the Dolph Lundgren action movie, Blood of Redemption. He has also written music for some Japanese Anime-styled “Dating Simulator” video games such as My Lady, ACE Academy, Seduce Me the Otome, and Blind Love. He has also written music for television shows, independent films, theater productions, documentaries, televised commercials, and online viral videos for well-known Latter-day Saint filmmaker Devin “devinsupertramp” Graham and the Salt Lake Pops YouTube orchestra.
Christopher currently lives in Orem, Utah, and is managed by Elevate Talent Agency.
